I have used the Cressi Leonardo Computer for at least 4 years and I really love it. The Newton software is the same and when I wanted to upgrade my dive computer, the choice was easy. So, I bought the Cressi Newton, and this is my review to describe this dive watch computer based on my daily use as a watch and some scuba diving that I did in the last few months (1 was a night dive). This is my positive experience with the Newton:• Newton is elegant and has a beautiful design around my wrist. Many people liked the computer and gave me compliments.• The watch is lightweight and it does not bother me to wear it every day. The metal components are in titanium, so besides being really light, there was no issue in salt water.• The display is easy to read, numbers are big and in the right place during my dives; same experience I had with the Leonardo computer.• Good watch functionality -- you can set the alarm clock, dual time function.• Alarm and light are loud and bright. No issues here.On the negative side, there is no free-diving function on the Newton, but I do not free-dive…yet, so I would look for a specific free-dive watch in that case; so this is not really a negative aspect. Looking online, I have also noticed that there is not one product considered being perfect for divers and free-divers, so I chose the Newton and I am very happy with it.Fast shipping and great service, 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this dive watch.Very nice looking watch that you can wear everyday, the display is easy to read and comes with a magnifying attachment for diving. Very happy with this purchase. The functions are quite easy to figure out and set up. I previously wrote a bit of a negative review about the lack of service or tech support. I had a concern that a setting wasn't working properly, and I was looking for video's or reviews on this watch and there were none, I had also had gone to the Cressi web site and found nothing in the way of videos on how this watch functions. But I finally sent Cressi an Email which is your only option. And they responded within a day with a name and contact number of a Cressi Representative, I phoned and left a message saying I would try again tomorrow, and within an hour they returned my call. So in retrospect I made a mistake their service and support it is very good, I should have trusted the Cressi name, only wish they would do more with the how to use video's !Pretty disappointing it comes with a dead battery for such a high end watch. Can’t even test the watch to see if it works. Had to order a battery. The grey Cressi box it comes in was dirty and beat up. Hopefully the watch works great for my dives because they’re not winning anyone over with the presentation.I liked the size of the computer face, it was easy to read. I'm looking forward to diving with itThis watch looks very nice except that the text on the bezel appears to be double printed/blurry. If this was a $20 watch I wouldn't care but for $500 I expect higher quality. I have not even had the chance to use this under water as I don't want to hurt my chances of getting it replaced.Love the computer. I’m an Advanced OW diver who likes to dive recreationally and this computer is perfect as the design is optimised for it with no effort. It was a gift for my nephew in Bequia. And he loves the watch. He is a diver. No battery in watch!? I opened this as a Christmas gift to myself and it wouldn't turn on. Took the battery cover off to reveal there was no battery (CR2430 coin cell). How disappointing is that? Anyone else have this problem?Great bit of kit.The screen is a little small for me, but that's my fault as I'm getting older.I ended up buying a mask with a pair of 'reader' inserts to solve the problem,Easy to operate and small enough to wear as a watch when travelling to save having to bring watch and computer.Arrived quickly, excellent watch, partner loves it.bought in january dived this week first time. Decompression time is abnormal tells me to do a safety stop 40 minutes at 5 meters depth slarm goes off. Ruined my diving time and risked serious injuries due to confussion.
